Bitcoin, the first and largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, has experienced several bull markets throughout its history. The first notable bull market occurred in late 2013 when the price of Bitcoin rose from around $100 to a high of over $1,100 by the end of the year. This was followed by a bear market that lasted until late 2015. The next bull market began in 2016 and saw the price of Bitcoin rise from around $400 to a high of nearly $20,000 by December 2017. This was followed by another bear market that lasted until late 2019. The most recent bull market began in late 2020 and saw the price of Bitcoin reach an all-time high of over $64,000 in April 2021.
